Platform Settings

Overview

The Platform Settings section is where platform-wide configuration for your TRE instance is reviewed. Changes here affect the entire platform, which is why access is tightly scoped.

Navigation: Select Platform Settings from the left-hand navigation pane.

General

The General panel displays the platform's current infrastructure-level configuration, organised into a small number of cards:

Field Description
Type The platform deployment type for this instance.
Default Mesh Provider The service mesh provider used for intra-cluster traffic management and observability. Defaults to Istio.
Domain (Allow Delete / Allow Create / FQDN / Model) Whether domain creation or deletion is permitted from the platform, the fully qualified domain name for this instance, and the domain model in use.
Authentication Groups The identity provider groups mapped to this platform instance for authentication and access control.

This panel is read-only-by-default for platformadmin until the underlying permission is enabled.

What's Next

  • Computes and Workstation Templates — the infrastructure-facing configuration platformadmins manage day to day.
  • Budget — the organisation hierarchy referenced throughout Settings is the same one used for budget allocation.
  • Platform Audit Logs — any future changes made here, once enabled, will be captured in the audit log.
