MyFiles Feature Overview

The MyFiles feature provides a centralized location for efficiently managing files within the workstation . Users can create folders, upload files from various sources (local system, HTTP, S3, SRA/ENA, and SFTP), and monitor their upload progress.

To access the MyFiles feature:
1. Navigate to the MyFiles section in the left-side panel.
2. In the Data tab, see the Action button on top right corner→ Click this button to open a dropdown menu or panel that provides access to multiple options, such as creating folders and uploading data from various sources

Create New Folder

  • From the Action dropdown, select New Folder to create a folder.
  • Users can also create nested folders within an existing folder.

Upload Data

The Action dropdown provides options to upload data from various sources:

Upload from Local System

  • Select Upload Data to upload files directly from the local system

Upload from Server

The Upload from Server option allows users to upload data from different server types:

1. Upload from HTTP
  • Select Upload from Server → HTTP.
  • Provide the following details:
  • HTTP Host: The host address of the HTTP location (e.g., https://example.com).
  • Path: The file path (e.g., /data).
2. Upload from S3
  • Select Upload from Server → S3.
  • Provide the following details:
  • Type: S3.
  • Bucket Name: The name of the S3 bucket (e.g., my-bucket).
  • Path: Full path of the source location within the bucket (e.g., /folder/subfolder).
  • Access Key ID: AWS Access Key ID
  • Secret Access Key: AWS Secret Access Key
  • Session Token: AWS Session Token.
3. Upload from SRA/ENA
  • Select Upload from Server → SRA/ENA.
  • Upload a CSV file containing the required data.
4. Upload from SFTP
  • Select Upload from Server → SFTP.
  • Provide the following details:
  • Type: SFTP.
  • Host: The SFTP server hostname (e.g., example.com).
  • Port: The SFTP server port number (default: 22).
  • Path: Full path of the source location within the server (e.g., /data).
  • Username: The username to connect to the SFTP server (e.g., demo).
  • Password: The password for authentication.

Results Tab

  • The Results Tab displays the results of pipelines, workstations, and workspace results, providing users with detailed information about the file upload status. This helps users review the status of their uploads.

Activity Tracking

  • Users can track the progress of their uploads from the server and view logs for completed jobs in the Activity Tab.
  • Under this feature, users can see the file upload status, such as Uploading, Uploaded, Scan, Scan Failed, Download, Pending Approval, Success, etc.
